CRAIG LINDSAY ROBERTSON
“…reminiscent of the melancholic vibe of artists such as Nick Drake or Elliott Smith, but with a little more lightness to it…”, Indie Music Album Reviews
Have you ever come across an artist who doesn’t sound the way they look? Craig’s live show truly reveals his innate gift – his voice. It’s rich, soothing, powerful and subtle. Melodies soar and with the turn of a phrase, Craig can have the audiences coming back for more.
After years of life obstacles and experiences to inspire his music, Craig released “Family Name” in 2015, produced by Don Kerr (Ron Sexsmith, Rheostatics). The songs are simple, yet complex and reflect on love, dreams, family, home and hanging on. The music stays true to Craig’s live show as the entire album was recorded with a band, in a living room, live off the floor. No auto-tuning, no re-tuning, no tuning out.
With two albums under his belt (2013’s “Everything Will Pass”/2015’s “Family Name”), Craig is gearing up for his third full-length project with renowned producer Michael Timmins (co-founder of the Cowboy Junkies). Recording is scheduled to start in October of 2017 at Michael’s The Hangar studio, with an early 2018 release planned.
Craig is the real deal, singing from the heart and playing music with purpose.
